Celtics’ Kendrick Perkins Out for Game 7

Boston fans witnessed a devastating injury to Celtics player Kendrick Perkins on Tuesday night when he sustained a right knee injury (watch the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4geaMUOX3w).  While landing on his right leg in the first quarter, he fell to the ground crutching at his knee.  An MRI of his right knee will be performed in Boston on Friday, but he has a medial collateral ligament (MCL) tear and a partial posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) tear.  He is not expected to play in Game 7, the deciding game of the NBA Finals.

Alex Rodriquez Out With Hip Injury

Alex Rodriquez removed himself out of the game against Baltimore on Thursday night after one inning of play.  He complained, according to reports, of pain and tightness in his right hip.  An MRI performed Friday afternoon showed right hip flexor tendinitis.  What is this and what does it mean for his return?

Team USA’s Jozy Altidore Suffers Ankle Sprain

Soccer is one of the most enjoyed sports on the world stage.  With the world cup competition starting in less than two weeks, the US team is gearing up for some competitive battles.  Unfortunately, the US forward, Jozy Altidore, suffered an ankle sprain this past Wednesday.  Xrays taken of his ankle reportedly showed no breaks (fractures).  This is good news for team USA.
